Basic requirements for composition
The maximum permissible level of nicotine is 20 mg/ml
Only high purity ingredients can be used to prepare e-vape
Nicotine has a minimum purity of 99%
The minimum purity of propylene glycol and glycerol (plant source) shall not be less than 99.5%
Flavor purity must meet the requirements of food grade
The following ingredients cannot be added to e-vape
Vitamins or other additives can give the impression of health benefits to the product
Caffeine or taurine or other energy-related additives and stimulants
Additives with coloring properties
.Substances that have carcinogenic properties, cause genetic mutations, or produce toxins before incineration
Substances prohibited by law, such as psychotropic drugs, narcotics, hallucinogens, and stimulants
Packing requirement
The volume of supplementary smoke oil should not exceed 10 ml
The volume of the bomb should not exceed 2 ml
The packaging requirements of the fume oil must be sealed, resistant to damage and leakage, and the material should meet the requirements of food containers
The package must contain product information written in Arabic and may be displayed in other languages. The following information must be clear and indelible:
- Product name, trade name, trademark
- Nicotine content (mg/ml) for nicotine-containing products
- Liquid volume in milliliters
- Ingredients list in descending order by weight
- Country of origin, name and address of importer
-Domestically made products must carry. Made in Egypt. ".

- Safety instructions
- Avoid touching skin or swallowing.
The packaging must bear the following statement:
- Store in a dry place away from sunlight
- Keep this product out of reach of children
- Not to anyone under the age of 18
The package must not contain any claims about smoking cessation
In addition, the Consumer Protection Agency has issued Decree No.125/2021, which stipulates that all companies producing, importing and distributing various cigarettes and their alternatives must print their prices on their packaging
- Prices must be displayed in a clear and indelible manner.
- Allow the use of QR code to paste prices
- The price shown on the package must be the total price of the product.
- The price should be written in Arabic
- Allow the price of other languages besides Arabic.
Health warning
A warning in Arabic must be affixed to each package, i.e. Be careful: Smoking can destroy health and lead to death.
Warnings should be in Arabic with clear and legible font
The warning must cover at least half of the front and back of the package
The package must contain the instruction booklet and must contain the following information:
Health and environmental information applicable to packaging
The percentage of nicotine and other substances must be indicated
How to use and safe use, such as not touching skin or swallowing, and storage instructions.
Registration obligation
Companies that manufacture and import e-vape are required to register each of their products and renew them annually, and the application for renewal of the registration certificate should be submitted one month before the expiration date. Original documentation and copies must be submitted within six months prior to the importation/manufacture of the product. In case of missing documents, registrants will be notified and replaced within a maximum of 21 days.

Application form
Product Information - Name and trademark (if any), product type, equipment, number of units in package
Name of manufacturer and country of origin
The manufacturer's certificate of approval to produce e-vape
Products meet production and safety requirements
Product analysis certificate issued by the manufacturer
Product sample and label copy
A statement by the applicant confirming the validity of the documents submitted
A statement or certificate indicating the use of food grade spices in the product (if applicable).
Certificate of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) - or evidence that production meets internationally accepted standards
A certificate from the manufacturer stating that the filling container complies with the relevant regulations for food packaging manufacturing.
Toxicological study of product components and their emissions
Electronic copies of the above documents are provided in CD/USB format

Egyptian importers register on Nafeza, an Egyptian online portal, at www.nafeza.gov.eg. Before shipment, the importer must enter the main data of the imported goods into the ACI system, Egyptian customs authorities assess the potential risks within 48 hours, and if the goods are accepted, a unique identification number (ACID number) is automatically transmitted.
