EN 71-9 restrict the use of over 60 hazardous organic compounds which may cause harm, including
carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxic for reproduction (CMR) in toys. EN 71-10 and EN 71-11 describe the
test method of sample pre-treatment and content determination respectively.

EN 71-9 has set requirements for the content and migration quantity of harmful organic chemical in
toys and toy materials, which is classified according to the different access approach including licking,
