In Chinese national regulations, food contact materials are divided into food packaging materials and food containers. Based on the type of material, there're a series of hygienic standards to regulate.
Furthermore, certain plastic materials, such as polyethylene PE, polypropylene PP, polystyrene PS, resin and molded products, are managed by different hygienic standards, each of which, the indicators are also different. The main physical and chemical indicators generally include evaporation residue, heavy metal (lead), consumption of potassium permanganate, bleaching experiments, etc.
